Someone broke into my car Saturday night (11-17) while I was with a friend at a concert. My front window (driver's side) was completely smashed in, and several items were stolen. The most important things were an !!UNPAINTED MODEL INSTA-CAST TEAPOT!!, a MAXUM HVLP SPRAY GUN (still in box, approx $120), a GRAY RESPIRATOR (with distinctive silver patterns on the nosepiece), and SEVERAL PIECES OF SANDPAPER. Also stolen were epoxy, a small foam model (approx 7x7cm), and a 1/2" wooden dowel. These items were individually bagged or wrapped in paper, and all were inside a large BLICK'S ART SUPPLY shopping bag.
I was parked overnight near the corner of Bryant and 2nd, near the Harrison dorms. The break-in was not discovered until early Sunday morning (11-18), at about 4am.
Attached are orthographics of the model teapot, an isometric view of the 7x7 cm foam model, and a picture of the broken-in window.
The teapot is VERY, VERY important to me as it is a project for my Model Making 1 class (Industrial Design), and is due the Thursday after the Thanksgiving Holiday.
